Would you, as a man living in the 21st century, go to a concert, stadium, or cinema if women were kicked out from the same place? Today marks three years since the killing of Zhina #MahsaAmini a young woman murdered by the hijab police, whose name ignited a revolution. The regime in Iran killed Mahsa for “inappropriate hijab.” Yet three years later, women have removed it in public. The ordinary women of Iran never waited for any political group to grant them freedom they seized it. Shoulder to shoulder with the men who stood by their side, they carried the cause forward. On this third anniversary of Woman, Life, Freedom, I call on Iranian men, singers, actors, and athletes to take a stand: •Refuse concerts while female singers are jailed for singing. •Boycott cinema while well known female actors are now being banned for simply showing their hair. •Boycott the Islamic Republic’s sports while female athletes are punished for refusing to obey discriminatory laws. The first battle was against compulsory hijab. The next is to remove the entire apartheid regime. If you’re a man, please answer my questions.👇

I got goosebumps by watching this beautiful moment of Nowruz celebration in Iran. This is Saghez the city of #MahsaAmini the 22 year woman who’s brutal death became a symbol of a revolution in Iran. Now her father holding a torch while men and women singing and dancing together. They sing a powerful Kurdish song which says when we are mourning that doesn’t mean we are broken, we will fight to the end. #IranRevoIution
