#EthanHawke reflects on his screen test with #DenzelWashington for #TrainingDay: “It was really difficult to try to keep up with him.” During a live discussion with Variety’s co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh at the #MiamiFilmFestival, Hawke revealed that Washington threw his name in the ring after his wife, Pauletta, showed him Hawke’s performance in #Hamlet. But when Hawke arrived for the screen test, Washington went completely off-script. “What Denzel was doing was trying to show other people he wanted somebody who could play with him,” Hawke explained. “He knew that whoever was cast in this part, he was gonna have- we’re together through the 92% of the whole movie.”
