Had a meeting with the elders of the Muslim community who took a historic decision to postpone the #Milad Un Nabi juloos( procession) on 28 th September as it was clashing with the Ganesh final immersion on the same day.We agreed to make the needed arrangements on 1 st October. This is a shining example of the Ganga Jamuni tehzeeb (culture)of our city and state and the harmony with which people are coexisting. This automatically leads to more development and growth. I appeal to all involved to exercise utmost restraint in their celebrations and respect the sensitivities of each other to protect the greatness of this #City🙏🏻

Back to back , heavy days ! After a tiring post #Ganesh immersion aftermath , we started preparing for the #Milad Juloos yesterday itself through a long Teleconference with all officers, with pre -Milad measures throughout the night . Today the procession started at Mecca masjid under auspices of MMJC Markazi Milad Juloos Committee, as per tradition, we wished them a happy Milad and it proceeded ahead towards Volta hotel . Post measures were also taken for the return journeys of the processionists to their respective areas . We are still fully deployed and watching as I post this.
