#AnneHathaway says the fictional pop diva she plays in #MotherMary doesn’t examine Taylor Swift or any specific real-life pop star: “It was very important to study all of the greats to understand what space was left,” she told Variety at the film’s New York premiere. “None of us wanted Mother Mary to sound like anybody else. We wanted her to be her own thing.”
