NSJ sent our photographer to cover Roy Cooper's Gastonia event today. #ncpol #ncsen He was allowed into the space and then was told to leave, with a campaign staffer telling him he wasn't credentialed for the event. A Blue Ridge Times reporter was also told to leave. Well, getting the Cooper campaign's media RSVP would have helped. And we've tried. NSJ has asked to be included in the Cooper campaign media distribution list since the start of the senate race, yet the campaign has refused to respond or even acknowledge our requests.
