I have been anti-war my entire life. Under normal circumstances, I would be calling for peace. But this time I’m sitting it out. I cannot say #nowarwithiran in good conscience when I know what the day after a #ceasefire looks like for people in Iran. We have already lived through this. After the June 2025 ceasefire, the regime turned inward and thousands of Iranians were murdered and tens of thousands arrested in brutal reprisals. If you cannot address what happens the day after, you are ignoring the people who will bear the consequences. Your stance is not the as principled as you think.
