Wagner Moura tells Diego Andaluz about the future of Brazilian cinema at #NYFF63: "The present of Brazilian cinema is great. Last year, we had 'I'M STILL HERE,' which was a huge success. 'THE SECRET AGENT' is doing all the big festivals in the world. But you know what else is doing great in Brazil right now? Democracy. And I think this is something that's completely connected. When you have a country that fully believes in democracy and fights for it and doesn't allow bad habits to come back, that includes culture, movies, theater, art in general. Culture is absolutely part of a healthy democracy. Therefore, you can think about the future in a very positive way."
