The differences between #JasmineCrockett and #JamesTalarico. In 2021, Jasmine spearheaded the quorum break against the #Republicans' Anti-Voter Bill. However, it was James Talarico who was the first to return to #Austin, effectively breaking the quorum. His actions brought Republicans closer to achieving the quorum they required. His fellow #Democrats were quite vocal about their disapproval. In this clip Jasmine Crockett reminds Texans that during the 2021 quorum break, she stayed in DC holding the line with her Democratic colleagues while James Talarico returned to Austin to negotiate with Republicans and help to establish quorum. In the first draft of new Texas house boundaries, Talarico would have been completely drawn out of a seat, but after returning, he negotiated for a new district that included his parents’ home.
