DRDO successfully demonstrated Solid Fuel Ducted Ramjet (#SFDR) technology on February 03, 2026, at 1045 hrs from ITR Chandipur, off the Odisha coast. The achievement places India among a select group of countries possessing this critical technology for long-range air-to-air missile( i.e. ASTRA MKIII)development. All subsystems, including the nozzle-less booster, SFDR motor, and fuel flow controller, performed as expected after initial acceleration by a ground booster.
