ngomongin kasus ahnsangho, buyut hayoung, yang kembali ramai karena riwayat pro-jepangnya dan dugaan keterlibatannya dalam teori peracunan kaisar gojong, jadi keinget film #sonyejin yang . buat yang penasaran seperti apa kondisi korea di bawah kekuasaan jepang zaman ahn sangho saat itu dan bagaimana keluarga kerajaan joseon diperlakukan, bisa nonton film ini. ini film tentang putri deokhye, putri bungsu kaisar gojong. kaisar gojong meninggal tahun 1919, dan deokhye waktu itu baru 6 tahun. setelah ayahnya meninggal, hidupnya makin ga manusiawi. dia dibawa paksa ke jepang, bukan cuma untuk pendidikan, tapi juga dalam konteks kontrol politik jepang terhadap keluarga kerajaan joseon. dia harus hidup jauh dari korea dan menjalani kehidupan yang bukan pilihannya, sampai akhirnya harus menikah dengan bangsawan jepang. dan ini yang bikin kisah deokhye sakit banget... dia bukan cuma kehilangan ayah. dia kehilangan rumah, negara, keluarga, masa muda, dan kebebasan untuk menentukan hidupnya sendiri. dia ga perlu dipenjara untuk kehilangan kebebasannya. dia bisa sekolah, tinggal di rumah bangsawan, bahkan nikah, tapi hampir seluruh keputusan besar dalam hidupnya berlangsung dalam sistem kolonial yang membuat pilihan pribadinya sangat terbatas. dia baru bisa pulang pada 1962, sekitar 37 tahun kemudian. 😭 buatku yang paling menarik dari kisah deokhye adalah bagaimana kita bisa melihat dampak penjajahan dari sisi yang sangat personal. dia adalah bagian dari keluarga kerajaan, tapi status itu justru tidak membuatnya bebas. sebaliknya, hidupnya tetap berada di bawah kendali situasi politik saat itu. jadi kalau penasaran sama sejarah gojong, kondisi korea-jepang waktu itu, atau pengin tahu seberapa jauh pendudukan jepang memengaruhi kehidupan keluarga kerajaan, tonton . filmnya memang bukan 100% dokumenter dan ada dramatisasi, tapi kisah deokhye sendiri nyata.
