A sample vid of NYPD cars, vehicles & garbage trucks causing massive pinch points during the first Manhattan #SummerStreets. It was dangerous & uncomfortable in places. Some intersections the road were reduced by ~75%! Everyone was talking about it. Streetsblog New York City Open Plans And ALL of this footage was shot before 930am before the event gets really crowded. Any info for the change NYC DOT Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani?

A #SummerStreets thread. Today I'm certain it had more attendees than last Saturday. I've been fascinated with finding a way to measure it in a simple fashion. Today I decided at 10:30 am to stop at 66th Street. In this shot, in 53 seconds roughly 250 users are in frame (both sides)! Summer Streets is 8 hours long. There are roughly over 200 intersections over the course. 53 seconds is roughly 1 minute. It was extremely crowded like this for about 5 hours.
