#Tbilisi: Large crowds are marching through the streets of Tbilisi today. Demonstrators include students, teachers, journalists, artists, and family members of prisoners of conscience, faced with repression, intimidation and total dismantlement of democracy and human rights in the country. Georgia is closing one of the most brutal years in its recent history for civil society and its citizens. Hundreds have been jailed or subjected to torture. Independent and civil media spaces have been systematically shut down. Fundamental freedoms and human rights have been curtailed and dismantled, pushing the country into isolation and cementing its alignment with Russia. This marks Day 395 of the #GeorgiaProtests.
