deng enxi shared that for this scene, ding yuxi used actual hot water #theroadtosplendor 🐰i remember that at first, the props laoshi had prepared cold water, but ding ge said he wanted to present a realistic effect, so he asked the props laoshi right there on set to add hot water. everyone can see, because i was reading the bullet comments, how the water was still steaming. zhao ling's hand is red because we used actual hot water for the filming. ding ge's hand really did get scalded at that time 🦊 that day, we also joked about how zhao ling should act after holding hot water, it should be that after being scalded- aiyo 💨 how to act out

#TheRoadToSplendor, directed by #DengKe, used very little green screen and mostly in studio for certain shots. Instead the production team filmed in locations, including the desert. This is why paparazzi bts weren’t released, nobody but the production and cast could get there.

the cinematography in this whole scene is too beautiful 😭 he asked her for 5 years, for a chance to prove himself and rise up the ranks. she pledges to wait for his return and for him to take care of himself…THEY COULDNT EVEN HAVE A PROPER FAREWELL #花开锦绣 #theroadtosplendor
