OP DRISHTI: RESTORING VISION, SERVING HUMANITY The mega eye ailments screening and cataract surgery camp, OP DRISHTI, drew to a remarkable close at Command Hospital #NorthernCommand at #Udhampur. The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of #JammuKashmir, accompanied by Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, #ArmyCdrNC and Surgical Vice Admiral Arti Sarin #DGAFMS. A virtual address was delivered by Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh and Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, appreciating the efforts of the #IndianArmy and #IAF for bringing quality medical care to the people of J&K. The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor expressed deep appreciation for the extraordinary initiative of #NorthernCommand and the highly skilled surgical team from the Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi. More than 2000 patients were screened and 408 surgeries were performed using state of the art equipment flown in by the special aircraft of IAF, setting a new benchmark in delivery of quality healthcare to the people. The Hon’ble Lt Governor also released an informative handbook on eye care and conveyed his appreciation to all stakeholders involved in successful conduct of the camp. He also interacted with the beneficiaries, presenting them with protective eyewear and conveying his heartfelt wishes for their continued well-being.
