I do wonder what would’ve happened, if a child who wasn’t native to England had worn that dress. Obviously we’ll never know. What the school did to this child though, is despicable. When you’re stopped from even celebrating your own culture, what can you celebrate?!

Apparently there were more kids who got the same treatment, one who came dressed as a farmer, one with a Welsh flag, and one with an English flag, so basically they wanted to smush foreigners cultures into their faces and punish the British kids, Pavlovian conditioning of a kind.

lets be real. the school only apologized because this rightfully got so much attention. we all know thats why. the staff should be replaced by teachers that ACUTALLLY care about educating children in useful for their future subjects and not being racist to british in britain

The school KNEW natives kids were going to show up as their native culture. This wasn't a oppies pooies, the goal of culture day was to shame natives.

Next year all the kids should turn up dressed that way

Wait wtaf !! Does this not make you want to go out & buy Union Jack themed every fkin thing ? Our flag offends but the freedoms it provides does not ¿So if she’d have worn an Iranian 🇮🇷 or Pakistani flag 🇵🇰 dress that’s ok wtaf is happening , I want to 👊🏽fk out of this “teacher”

Let’s not forget The Who and countless other performers that have entertained the world with the Union Jack as part of their look. The world has loved and embraced the Brits in pop culture and quite frankly we miss you !

We need to find out which school it was and bombard them with our opinions on this f*** up they made.
