I admittedly did that. Was in the UK and heading back to the airport so I had to fill up before I turned the rental car in. In the UK and Europe most cars are diesel. So I pulled up grabbed the green handle and started pumping about half way I turned around and the green handle said unleaded over there its the opposite red diesel, green unleaded and yes it fit. I didn't start the car and it cost me 200 to get it pumped out. Unfortunately my family and I missed the flight back to the USA. I was humiliated.

@_uwomy Set up. I tried in error ( was after a long shift I was too tired ) but the nozzle didn’t fit so I noticed that ! This is not applied in England . Lots of those mistakes happen in England !
