Fun fact: actors at Disney aren’t allowed to do this for real guests, only for filmed promotional spots like this with actors. Because otherwise it ruins continuity and people assume all the business or Moana or whatever actors can do it, and when they can’t, it ruins immersion

When you think about it, it’s totally in character for Buzz, a space ranger, to know ASL

And this is why when the cast members were bucking up on Disney, I was onboard. They really go above and beyond to make people feel special. Pay those people!

Buzz was so excited when he realised they were signing. This will be such a memory for the whole family

Why did the mask seem brighter like the smile got more intense as the actor posed for the picture? Like their happiness truly radiated out from the interaction 🥹

Considering that mascot characters aren't allowed to speak in these parks, the person in the Buzz suit is likely deaf themselves.

This is why disability representation, inclusion and education matters so much. So kids with disabilities can be as happy as any other kid.
