In Argentina we have the same thing and we call it milk in a sachet We also have milk in bottles and in cartons, I genuinely don't understand why they say this is a Canadian thing

You know what I've always wondered about the bag milk: 1) why & how did it even start i. The first place, and 2) how do you seal/close the bag to keep it fresh & from spilling? It just seems ridiculous & inconvenient to me. I'm glad to know its less prevalent now a days.

What, you guys don't get the bag sealer on your pitcher up there? We have that in the US

I'M GOING TO BE IN CANADA FOR A DAY. I WANT ONE. But as a kid in the US they used to give us small milk bags.

They tried to introduce this in the UK (one supermarket about 20 years ago) but it did not catch on. The jugs were fancier though, they had a lid that clamped the bag into place.

Milk in the bag is very common in the Midwest you can get it at the kwik mart/gas station since the 90s

Its literally cheaper to get bagged than carton. If 4L of carton milk costed the same as 4L of bagged milk, id buy it.

why not just put it in the pitcher….also still seems like a waste since you can recycle milk cartons
