People don't talk enough about how great a player Steve McManaman was.

I can’t cope with the fact that football footage from my youth now looks and sounds like archive footage from the 70s 🤣

Fowler's finishing was ridiculously good🔥

@SoumenS30190489 Most left footed players are shite with their right foot but Fowler was different. Natural born goal scorer. You weren’t bad with your left as well Stanley 👍

It was a joy to watch you pair.

I was at that game and until today hadn't realised what a special thing I'd witnessed.

I was at this game, it was my Christmas present as a kid, absolutely loved it

Tbf, to sync all three would have required a phenomenal diving header for the second Fowler goal!

It’s always about you Stan. Assists weren’t even a thing then. Nice hat trick Robbie

Aren't all the goals supposed to be scored in the same half to qualify for a perfect hat-trick.

@PaulAndo1987 A very underrated strike duo 👏

Deadly duo u 2 stan

“..born to score” couldn’t have said said it better

Stan. Did you and/or Robbie realise it was a prefect double hat trick at the time (straight away or after the match that evening)? Or was it something you realised much later.

You and Fowler were a great partnership Stan.

👏👏👏👏

Stan, it was an excellent forward thinking football team we had then. Pity we fell short a couple of time for the title. You should've been a Liverpool legend as you had the ability to be something special. It was a joy to watch while it lasted though.

Stan, has there been a better finisher in the game since Robbie. He was the best I’ve ever seen, left foot , right foot , head it didn’t matter to him. Screamers , tap ins, hit first time , the catalogue of goals is ridiculous.

What boots were you wearing that day. Were they your stitched Diadora. Make my day please.

Raising you Sir Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink Stan ⚽️🔵🔵🔵

Brilliant...

@PaulAndo1987 Fantastic Pair you 2 up top stan. Quality.

Good to see two proper both footed players. Don't see it much these days which is infuriating.

Was desperate as a kid for collymore and fowler to win us a title, brings back memories.

That’s a great fact

Superb! 👌🏽

Fowler. What a finisher!

My first ever game at Anfield. Still remember waking up at 5am to catch the train to Euston and then Liverpool. Freezing it was but well worth it in the end. I was 14 beautiful times.
