Flaco’s story touched many hearts

The tributes to Flaco are wonderful beyond words, but his life and death should be a lesson to us all: birds should not be caged. Animals should not be caged. This tragedy should be a wake up call for all humanity. Fly high over the rainbow bridge Flaco 🌈💔🙏

Thank you from Brooklyn. Where exactly is his tree in Central Park and how does one get there from Brooklyn on public transportation? I never got to see him alive but followed all of the X posts daily for the past year. My heart hurts...

@BirdCentralPark I have followed Flaco and his “Crew”, of Bird lovers/photojournalists daily..TY❤️ for all that you’ve done.. BUT, we never heard the entire story ?! How did he get to CP zoo? Where did he come from? Why no handler , there?
