Connectors get useful when the audit trail is as visible as the action. For agentic desktop work, the hard part is not fetching context; it is proving which source justified which tool call, and leaving the operator a clean undo surface.

Bridging Sentry and Linear directly into the editor cuts out so much manual copy pasting.

connectors are the whole product now. whoever holds your gmail, slack, and linear credentials is the agent you actually keep.

unread is a flag, missed is a join. the thread your team settled in another channel and the email a teammate already answered both read as open, so the brief keeps raising things that were handled. cry wolf twice and it becomes just another inbox you stop opening.
