1/ Every app should have a private mode. So we shipped it 🥷 Introducing Shadow Accounts, now live on Starknet. A new STRK20 privacy primitive that lets apps offer a Public → Private switch, without publicly linking users' activity to their main wallets 🧵

2/ Onchain, your wallet is your identity. Use the same public address across apps, and anyone can piece together your positions, trades, strategies, and activity. Shadow Accounts change that.

3/ Each app gets its own persistent, pseudonymous identity, so users can maintain positions and interact over time, without a public onchain link to their main wallet. Privacy without losing continuity.

4/ From the user's perspective, once integrated into an app, it's simple: → Connect your wallet → Switch from Public to Private → Deposit into a vault → Your Shadow Account maintains your positions → Withdraw back to your shielded balance That's it.

5/ And it's not just for vaults. Think private LPing, lending, borrowing, staking, recurring buys, limit orders, options, perps, prediction markets, NFT marketplaces, and more. A whole ecosystem of privacy-enabled apps.

6/ For developers, the best part? No need to rebuild your app. With the Starknet Wallet API, you can add privacy to existing applications through `shadow_account_invoke`. The wallet handles the heavy lifting: → Private state → Proof generation → Transaction submission Apps don't need access to users' viewing keys, and can maintain persistent positions without publicly linking users to their main wallets. Available via Starknet Wallet API v0.10.4, starknet.js v10.8.0+, and compatible privacy-enabled wallets.

7/ Privacy shouldn't be a feature reserved for a few specialized apps. It should be something every application can offer. And now, you can easily offer it.

8/ Private LPing on @EkuboProtocol is now live. Powered by Shadow Accounts.

wdym we could also hide in our bunkers ?

techincal explainer on shadow accounts

privacy mode is underrated app security levels matter more than ever now

bullish

Going on a private shadow mode.

Shadow Accounts 😍😍, nice job

👍

Shadow Accounts appear to be the equivalent of switching from light to dark mode. Simple. Effective. User choice by design!

shadow bunkers? niceeee

Truly amazing and elegant tech

Privacy mode on Starknet is a real unlock.

We have privacy by default. And this is cool.

Would be cool to have it in a launchpad

Already testing it

make starknet privacy great again

Wolves move in the shadows 🐺

So this is not actually real privacy where all txs and counter parties are hidden but rather this is more of unlinkability and not revealing the original owner/user of the various apps, isn’t it ?

如果真能做到strk能起飞

😍

@myBraavos @mottylen wen strk20 integration ❓️❓️❓️ Braavos wallet users are missing out on Starknet privacy features.

Bullish 🐱

Let the privacy mode begin🔥

Privacy becomes composable when applications can consume an authorization result without learning the identity or activity behind it. That interface matters more than adding privacy separately inside every application.

Amazing!

Shadow Accounts sounds small, but “without publicly linking” is the whole UX fight. If users need a new wallet brain, privacy loses

0.01 soon
