You can keep your pan steak.

Looks terrible.

This is the stupidest shit I’ve ever seen. Why does he keep talking about needing a high heat point oil but then cooking it on medium Low lol what a tool bag

Not today seedoilstein

If it’s a seed oil you can forget it. Ain’t happening.

The fact he didn't even baste the steak with a spoon and he overcooked the the steak. There shouldn't be that much grey when you have a medium rare steak. Strong D+ grade.

"DONT use tallow or olive oil, get a nice hight temp oil!" *proceeds not to name any*

Don't listen to him. Beef tallow adds far more flavor to the steak with very little smoke. So much better for your health than that motor oil he is using. Cast iron skillet beats stainless to.

I'd rather have a healthy oil and smoke in my house 😋

Showed this to the teenager - he’s demanding we try it tomorrow night…

Grill or open flame is 1000x’s better than anything you get on a pan.

All that yapping for a mediocre steak 😂

Overcooked steak, flips it a bunch of times, peeling asparagus wtf, “high smoke point” but cooking it on 4, pepper into a hot pan, chews like an animal smacking his lips, meal looks like shit, -5/10

I was an Asperagus farmer and had 2000 acres. The secret to tender asparagus is get the fattest spears you can find because they are the fastest growing ones. And therefore the cell walls aren't as dense which makes them tender. The skinny thin ones are the most tough and stringy.

Corn oil…. No thanks. I cook steak 5 times a week. Beef tallow, Baja salt, pepper, baste finish in real butter and cast iron all the way. That steak is colored red as F. Get ya a real ribeye 15 oz and you beat a restaurant Sear both sides high temp, get nice and crusty, cut heat down pan lid, check internal temp till about 130-135 and let it rest, temp will go up another 10 degrees Carnivore all the way Worried about smoke, that’s what a vents for

Beef tallow has a higher burn point then any vegetable olie he is full of shit 🖕 Chef 25+years just saying

How to say you are Canadian, withoot saying your Canadian.

I don't understand why he needs high heat smokeless oil when he's cooking at medium heat. Avocado and butter and olive oil would do great at that temperature. I've never had any of these smoke at medium or medium high.

Real question, why do most white people not like seasoning their food?? Like y’all will go above and beyond finding the best scientific way to cook the food, but refuse to season it lol

Don’t fucking gaslight me. Beef tallow is the best

Dawg the reason for the ripping hot cast iron is so you don’t get a half a centimeter of grey on each side like you get on your steaks.

I don’t want to use your shitty industrial oil on steak. I’ll throw it on the grill with no oil. The steak has enough of its own oil. This is insulting.

I use no oil, and high temp cast iron. I get a very nice char and the steak’s fat turns to oil so i dont use additional oil. Comes out amazing everytime but this is my preference

BS. Not on that stupid cook top! Mix olive oil & butter, zero smoke.

I can’t decide if this is rage bait or not but it’s making me angry and making me want to go buy some steaks to cook properly in an iron skillet

The oil is perfect for cooking in the house

🤡

This is bullshit. Get a pan hot, add butter and slap an unseasoned steak into the pan. Lightly season right before flipping on both sides. No splatter, no mess. Let rest for two minutes. Mouth watering perfection.

Clarified butter or Ghee is much better than high smoke point oil. Much richer flavor and still a high smoke point.

I don’t know how many cooked steaks and pans, and how many cook them under infrared, broilers, but here in Chicago I believe most of them are done with open flame

Corn 🌽 oil?! Retardation is real!!

I’ve never had a restaurant steak that tastes better than what I make at home with store bought prime grade. I literally never eat steak at restaurants anymore because I’ve spoiled myself. So I don’t know where this “steaks are better at restaurants” propaganda comes from 🤷

Corn oil has glycophate. Seed oils are dangerous for health. So, beef tallow is safest for health. 🩷

😑 reverse sear. Insanely even rareness, insane crust, no smoke. Nice and soggy asparagus. Whatever you do, don’t stream your asparagus. Unless you like chewy asparagus instead of a little crunch.

Hey dip shit you don’t rest meat on a cold piece of ceramic do you not own chopping boards? To be perfectly honest that steak looks like absolute shit also
