What these two normies are fighting over is dealt with by assembly / C / firmware programmers all the time. It is not mysterious. It is the difference between 'numeral' math, and 'ordinal' math. The first is the 'value' represented by the identifier (aka the number), and the second is the summation of the number from it's positional value (it's ordinal). So to really confuse you. The number Zero (0) is the first number in digital ordinal math. So the number 1 is the second number in ordinal math and has a value of 2 due to its position.
