🌟 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗨𝗚𝗕𝗬 𝗠𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 We’ve compiled our 16 favourite rugby moments of 2022! What a year it’s been. In no particular order, here it goes… #WorldRugby

1 - Italy beating Wales. Ange Capuozzo’s last-minute magic gave the Azzuri their first Six Nations win in seven years, snapping a 36-game losing streak in the tournament. Still can’t quite believe it in all honesty! @Italian_Rugby

2 - Portugal’s World Cup Qualification. Samuel Marques’ penalty in the 82nd minute secured their second ever #RWC appearance after the 16-16 draw with USA in the Final Qualification Tournament. Look at the celebrations! @PortugalRugby

3 - Chile’s Rodrigo Fernández scoring the try of the year against USA. Individual brilliance. #WorldRugbyAwards

4 - La Rochelle’s maiden Champions Cup victory after Arthur Retiere’s last-minute winner against Leinster in the final.

5 - France’s unbeaten year, just the third international side in history to go win every game in a calendar year. Six Nations Grand Slam + Wins over Australia, South Africa & Japan. Played 10, Won 10.

6 - Chile’s #RWC2023 qualification. Los Cóndores will make their first ever World Cup appearance after beating USA 52-51 on aggregate across two legs. 19-0 down away from home in the second leg before coming all the way back to win 31-29. @chilerugby @T2Rugby

7 - Georgia beating Wales for the first time ever at the Principality. Historic. 🎥 @RugbyPass

8 - Ireland’s famous 2-1 win against the All Blacks. They closed out the series by giving NZ consecutive home losses for the first time in 24 years.

9 - The Women’s World Cup Final. The dramatic ending as New Zealand lifted the trophy for a record sixth time in front of a record Eden Park crowd👇

11 - The Bulls beating Leinster at the RDS Arena in the semi-final of the URC. First win on Irish soil to reach the inaugural #BKTURC final. One of the best performances of any side in 2022.

12 - Georgia beating Italy in Batumi. Los Lelos’ first ever win over a Six Nations side.

13 - Australia vs NZ, the game of the year. 78’ Nic White penalty to give Australia the lead. 79’ Bernard Foley penalised for time-wasting five metres from his own line. 81’ Jordie Barrett try gives NZ their 20th straight Bledisloe Cup. CHAOS.

14 - Munster vs Toulouse in the quarter-final of the Champions Cup. - 24-24 after 80 minutes - Drop goal chaos in Extra Time - PENALTY SHOOTOUT

15 - Henry Arundell’s breakout year. In our mind, one of the greatest breakout years of any player in rugby history. Any reason to relive THAT try against Toulon. @RugbyLI

16 - Argentina’s famous victory over the All Blacks. Los Pumas’ first win on New Zealand soil. One of the best defensive performances of the year.

17 - FREDDIE BURNS.
