10 years ago today, on December 21, 2015, SpaceX achieved a groundbreaking milestone in spaceflight history. The company successfully performed the first-ever orbital rocket landing of its Falcon 9 first stage. This marked the first time a rocket stage was successfully returned to Earth and landed vertically after launching... show more

@SpaceX The defining engineering accomplishments of the modern space era.

@SpaceX 💯

@SpaceX Ten years and there is still SpaceX being able to land boosters regularly, like it’s nothing! …

From a rocket landing back on earth standing up to a tower catching the rocket while its flying in midair The difference between 2015 and 2025 isnt just normal progress this is literally jumping over physics itself imagine trying to explain to someone from 2015 that the rocket will come back and get caught by a giant robot hand they wouldve told you youre talking about a sci fi movie the crazy part is this became reality and were living it like its just another normal thing

@SpaceX Landing rockets cut launch costs dramatically, enabling more frequent and affordable space missions. Mid-air catches reduce wear and turnaround time further.

@SpaceX Siiick🔥❤️🚀✨

@SpaceX I watched this live. What a historic milestone.

@SpaceX Less gooooooo

@SpaceX And it took almost 10 years for someone to be able to replicate it. Congrats to the SpaceX team!

@SpaceX The hover-slam manouver is underappreciated. Such a bold approach to minimize weight and reduce fuel, but you have only one chance to stick the landing.

@SpaceX Falcon 9’s first landing didn’t just save rockets, it rewired how the entire industry thinks about reusability, iteration speed, and cost curves.

@SpaceX 🎯Never underestimate the power of a small smart team doing their best.

@SpaceX can you believe that one guy said space x hasn’t done anything nasa hasn’t already done before? haha 😂

@SpaceX I remember watching it live and cheering in my living room.

@SpaceX Awesome remembrance! Don’t forget grasshopper!

@SpaceX one day, they will say this was not a landing... but the first, gentle note in a century-long symphony of departure 🌌

@SpaceX This clip never gets old – the energy in that control room is insane! 🔥

@SpaceX That was 10 years ago? Where does the time go!?

@SpaceX Does that mean Blue Origin and all other rocket companies are still at least 10yrs behind SpaceX?

@SpaceX Amazing spacex and Elon Musk and team history of the future 🦾❤️

@SpaceX Doesn't seem like that was 10 years ago. Amazing

@SpaceX 10 years later SpaceX become a spaceflight standard

@SpaceX I wish I was this happy at work.

@SpaceX That success is historic and will be remembered forever

@SpaceX Definitely broken the impossible mindset.

@SpaceX Thrilled whenever I watched this clip. I remember this.👍🥰

@SpaceX Such a remarkable achievement in space exploration

@SpaceX Wow! 10 years already? Time flies. Congratulations on all the success

@SpaceX 10 years flashing by

@SpaceX wild how fast that tech leveled up

@SpaceX An epic moment that changed the course of history, though most of the world probably isn’t aware.

@SpaceX Spaceflight went from expendable to reusable to catchable. Wild decade: 2015 to 2025.

@SpaceX was an incredible moment

@SpaceX the fact that we're marking an anniversary of a rocket landing softly instead of exploding is the entire trajectory of the last 10 years compressed

@SpaceX Its crazy that it's only been 10 years. Its at the point where its completely taken for granted. Incredible.

@SpaceX I still remember rushing home from work and watching on my laptop as soon as I got home.
