Tried something new today. I made a character based environment and color direction board. First extracting the character’s palette, then translating it into an environment palette, and finally mapping where those colors should appear on the background, midground, foreground, lighting, shadows, and accents. Hard to tell if it’s fully working in this clip, and this might not be the best example, so I’ll test it again with a different style and a longer video, perhaps. This is just me overcomplicating things, 100% not needed. You can get same results with simple prompts and random environments. Prompts below.

Back when I had nothing… I was a nobody to most people. TBH, my parents didn't even see me getting to where I am today. It's just the truth, the chips were stacked for my sister. Not me. But it's just not the reality today. However, there was ONE person in my life that didn’t see me that way. My significant other saw something in me before a lot of things. Before all my wins. Before the $. Before any proof. And honestly… that means a lot to me, if not the most of all. I’ve always been wired a little different. I’m a mix of finance, engineering, and tech, with a sprinkle of obsession. I learned and studied from the best. Warren Buffett for how to invest. Elon Musk for work ethic and where the future is going. And once I saw it… I went all in. Bc when you truly understand what you own… you don’t need 20 bets. What you really need is conviction and just a few bets. That’s how I approached everything in my life. All the way from Apple… to Tesla… to 𝕏… to xAI… and now SpaceX. I believe I have an eye for spotting the best entrepreneurs and companies early, before it becomes obvious to everyone. And when I see it, I back it 100%. That’s just who I am. I don’t need a big circle. I’ve already got my day ones. I don’t need approval. I grew up my whole life with doubt and hate, so what’s one more? At this point, the levels are just too different. Arrogant. But the people that actually know me know the truth - I’m just real AF. I say what I believe, and I stand on it. And I genuinely don’t care what people think. I have two middle fingers always held high for those kind of people. That’s probably why I’ve been able to win the way I have. My significant other tells me to slow down sometimes. And I get it. But for me… What’s the point of life if you play it safe? If you see an opportunity that can change everything… and you just sit back? That’s not me. I’d rather go all in on something I believe in… live with intensity… take the hits… and actually feel alive and live life with fulfillment. Laugh if you want, doubt if you want. Some play it safe, a few go all in. You can call it risky. You can call it stupid. You can call it crazy. I call it living. 30. If I’m being honest, reaching 30 feels a little surreal. For the longest time, I felt like I wasn’t achieving enough. While everyone seemed to be hitting milestones, I often found myself wondering if I was falling behind or if I was doing enough with my life. The past years haven’t always been easy. There were days when simply getting through the day felt like an accomplishment. Days when my mind was my biggest challenge. Days when I questioned my worth, my progress, and where I was headed. But turning 30 has made me realize something: maybe not all achievements come with certificates, promotions, titles, or trophies. Sometimes, an achievement is choosing to keep going. Sometimes, it’s surviving the days you thought would break you. Sometimes, it’s finding reasons to smile again. Oddly enough, some of those reasons came from places I never expected. Recently, #CarTon and #WinRi became little sources of comfort during my low days. It’s funny because I never imagined that following their stories and moments online would have that kind of impact on me, but somehow they helped brighten days that felt particularly heavy. Of course, I wouldn’t have made it this far without the people who continue to stand beside me. To my husband, my family, my friends, and everyone who has supported me through the highs and lows—thank you. Thank you for your patience, understanding, encouragement, and for loving me even during the times when I struggled to love myself. As I enter this new decade, I’m trying to be kinder to myself. Maybe I don’t need to have everything figured out. Maybe I don’t need to measure my life against everyone else’s timeline. I’m still here. Still learning. Still growing. Taste is invisible until you try to write it down. This is probably my biggest lesson with AI building as of late. At Sundial, I get to work with really friggin' amazing analysts who know the art, and I see how much of our collective time now is now spent turning that art into playbooks or skills for an LLM. Encoding things like: "How would a great analyst actually look at this metric move?" or "What is ACTUALLY the interesting signal in this story versus noise?" or "How can we know if a product change actually moved the needle?" It's really humbling work! You write an instruction set. The LLM misses. You add more context. It still misses. You add even more. Now it's confused. You strip it back. Now it's too vague. You try a different framing. Better, but inconsistent. Works on Monday, fails on Tuesday. You go again. I've come to realize the gap between 70% quality and 95% quality is not 3 or 4 big things. It's more like 100s of small things. Which is exactly why you can't write an article about it, or copy it, or shortcut it! This gap *is* taste, quantified. The accumulated weight of a thousand small judgments you don't notice you're making, until you sit down to externalize them and realize you can't. Being good at something is not the same as being able to articulate why you're good at it. I now see two bottlenecks to making something better than today's generic AI: 1. Can you *see* what better looks like in the first place? 2. Even if you can see, can you *articulate* what that is in a way that the LLM can understand and systemize? #2 is now a new craft, the art of distilling the art. The people who can do it well are the ones building standout products.

It’s been a year since the company I helped start shut down. It was one of those ideas that felt truly “net-positive” for the world, and truly helped people on a personal level. So, over this last year I worked on 2 things — searching for an idea that feels net-positive and something people could connect with on a deep, personal level. That led me to build + launch 2 apps at the beginning of the year: 1. Lyrics: Daily Music Widget - an app that shows you song lyrics from your favorite artists, right on your home screen 2. one year - another app that shows how many days of growth you’ve had in a year Both of these apps had their ups and downs, but they made me realize some pretty cool things: - I want my apps to feel great to use - I want me apps to do one thing really well - I want my apps to feel like a human made them - and, I want my apps to always be made with other people So, two months ago I took those concepts, went to visit in SF, and started on an idea that I truly felt could change the way people live their daily lives. And, it’s launching today. This is Find Your Faith, an iPhone app that helps you discover a spiritual path that resonates with you, or helps you dive deeper into a faith you already practice. We started this as a way to help us with our own spiritual journeys. We wanted to explore different faiths in a way that was authentic to us. The beauty about spirituality is there is no deadline on when you should “figure out what you believe in” lol. It’s really something to check in on during the different seasons of your life. And, there isn’t just one way to do it. Some people may enjoy reading religious text, or others may prefer being in the presence of something greater than them. At the end of the day, these are just ways to give yourself the space to explore really tough questions and concepts. That’s what Find Your Faith (or fyf) does — helps you understand where you are on your journey, no matter where you may be, and gives you the space to sit in these questions every day. This is just the beginning for us, and hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed building it :).
