I’m surprised a lot of people don’t know this. You have a 5th amendment right to not self incriminate and a 6th amendment right to legal counsel in the US for a reason. NEVER talk to the cops. There is NO way you explain yourself to a detective; they already think you’re guilty.

Never waste your breath talking with anyone who I can’t be held accountable for lying, yet has the power of arresting you for lying to them.

They’re not required to Mirandize you unless you’re being interrogated. They ask questions before cuffing you and it’s considered an investigation not interrogation. It’s a BS loophole that works. Just don’t talk to them. $10,000 for a lawyer later and that’s what he told me

Your Miranda rights are read to you for one thing... It's to let you know that they can lie to you but it is illegal for you to lie to them... They can tell you anything they want to tell you. You tell one lie. That's obstruction... That's why they have to warn you with your Miranda Rights... It's literally their way of saying don't talk to me... I have different rules than you...

Yes, don't answer questions. But don't ask for a lawyer. The judge appointments one to you after you've been charged & appear in court for said charges. They don't have a lawyer on standby. It's better to respond with "I have no comment" & "Am I in custody or am I free to leave?"

Anyone that has ever had to deal with cops knows this, and anyone who hasn't needs to take this advise very seriously. The system is brutal, and it doesn't care if you're innocent or not.

Imagine getting arrested on false charges because you were unnecessarily being rude to the cop. next 6 months in court, later fees, Background checks with arrest record, if you win another 2 years in courts to get it removed from public records. Worth it?

Yeah, this 22 yr old was getting chased by an unhinged border jumper…. They pulled over, border jumper attacks him… he shot at the guy and hit his vehicle. Attacker had his stepson sleeping in the dark tinted window SUV. Should have kept mouth shut.

Exactly man never talk to the cops. Tell them you do not wish to speak without your attorney present. And if you aren’t being detained then you want to leave.Also leave your phone at home when you commit crime. And burn all operation clothing & destroy/get rid of any evidence.
