MLB scouting is too narrow minded and too conservative thinking to give guys like this a shot. These type of pitchers could be absolute killers if given the coaching and development.

Dickey's catchers are the true MVPs. Being able to frame a knuckleball is no easy task.

The catchers are just as baffled as the hitters.

Did you know that football (soccer...) players also shoot the ball that way, with very little to no spin to make the ball "flutter". Juninho Pernambucano is the Phil Niekro of soccer knuckleballers. (Juninho also has a good slider and a good fastball 😁)

It’s insane he was able to harness the knuckleball so well for an entire season in his 2012 cy young year. It’s a pitch that can fluctuate on an inning by inning basis, let alone game by game. The fact that he was able to do it for 30+ starts is so damn hard to do. Incredible.
