🚨 The DTCC is gearing up to start tokenizing real-world assets. They custody roughly $99 trillion in assets and settle $3.7 quadrillion in transactions annually, so the long-term scale they're playing with is enormous. If this actually takes off and real-world assets start flowing onto blockchain infrastructure at scale, it’s hard to imagine the total crypto market cap staying stuck at $3 trillion. Crypto's total value locked (and market cap) could easily see 5x–10x+ growth over the next few years as real-world assets flow in and the 3T market cap we see today will probably look tiny in hindsight.
