Thing is @mikeroweworks these skill jobs were given to illegals which in turn drove down wages for American skilled workers. The real problem is the owners wanting max profit over people, of these said skilled job companies. Fix the wage gap for labor skill workers and more American men would be willing to take those on. Men now believe to be able to raise a family a man needs college to make a wage that provides that family. Suits are the problem!!

Skilled trades people are nearly nonexistent. I used to be one. The mentality of people has caused me to let them figure it out for themselves. I can fix my own stuff. Good luck.

You tell me where i can make 6 figures I have 30 years in auto diagnostics 20 years in building and remodeling 8 years in fabrication 15 years in blueprint drafting and design I can't find a good job to save my ass the problem I see is all these good jobs want to still push diversity and not worried about a highly skilled white guy ive been working since 15 yo im now 46 and still stuck with bs jobs so now I just do work by word of mouth who need repairs done

Every highschool should be a trade school

We need technical schools wide open. Shop classes back up and running at high schools. Home ecc classes. Scholarships to help out students learning a trade that they can actually earn a decent living for them and their families.

My son went to trade school for welding. Got an AS degree in welding and certified. Went to work for oil company, went back for some robotics classes and was making six figures in two years checking welds from inside of pipes for integrity. It absolutely can be done.
