1000 days ago the world agreed to #BeatPlasticPollution at #UNEA5. Today #INC5 begins. We must now nail the text of the #PlasticsTreaty to protect our environment, our health and our future. Now is the time for a deal. We do not have another 1000 days to wait.

@UNEP The best solution would be poorer countries becoming wealthier through access to enough affordable energy so that they can then afford the luxury of garbage disposal services. That would take care of much of the world's plastic waste problems.
