I remember as a kid watching my dad play an over 35s game and his keeper did this. Someone on the sideline explained it to me, I was in awe 🙌

On a direct kick you can score by kicking the ball directly into the goal. On an indirect kick you cannot score. An indirect free kick is usually given when a player ‘commits any other offence not mentioned in the Laws’ that results in them being cautioned or sent off.
