People have had tickets for months. They took an RDO or annual leave. The rest were tourists.

The people that can afford the tickets are probably in a position where they are the boss or they're retired with two or three houses. As people have mentioned we get 4 weeks holiday leave so 20 days paid leave. Plus we have a mandatory 401k system called Super where if you put extra in you can retire at 55yo.

No. They dont get 20 days annual leave from the mo.ent they start a job. Its cumulative. Its what's living in a country that that some respect for workers.... not a country that treats them like a commodity.

Aussies have a great attitude to work-life balance. The US could learn a lot from them. Spending more time away from work with family and friends makes for a healthier society. I love the fact that Victoria has a public holiday for a horse race!

You are a dickhead. People are allowed to take a day off for something they might only get to see once.

4 weeks paid Annual leave, 5 weeks if you regularly work weekends and add Public Holiday credits if you work for the government. It's amazing seeing people have a good time.

People are even taking more than one annual leave day SHOCKER😱😱😱. In Sydney our account manager left Tuesday night. He took 3 days annual leave to watch the NFL and it’s quite acceptable to do so no fake reason needed just “watching the footy” more than enough.
