One thing everyone should appreciate about Spencer Pratt is that when he’s asked a question, he doesn’t deflect. He just answers the question This is so different than basically everyone else in politics CNN asks him, why he’s a Republican He doesn’t dance around the real reason, even through many democrats likely wouldn’t like the answer It’s for the second amendment But then he explains exactly why. It makes perfect sense He explains his plan to protect schools from fun threats even thought he’s for the second amendment and having a gun to protect yourself He has a real, and clear plan One other thing I notice here is CNN asks the question and lets him answer. I think this might be the best display I’ve ever seen of an Osprey air-surfing on the back of a fish. It’s nesting season, and when a male lands a big one, he doesn’t just bring it home quietly. He drops low, arcs upward, pauses mid-air, and lets out a cry that echoes across the water. “Look at this catch! Look what I brought home!” It’s pride. It’s pageantry. Randy couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. So he turned around in town, because he figured if it was just a fender bender, the driver would be long gone by now. They weren't. He walked up to the car and found a woman slumped over, unconscious, engine still running, doors locked. He called 911 immediately and stayed on the line, doing exactly what the dispatcher told him until crews arrived and pulled her from the locked car. He went with them all the way to the hospital, and the first responders told him something chilling: 20 minutes later... and she likely doesn't survive. TWENTY. MINUTES. His family calls him a hero. To those who think Mosiria is wrong for doing the right thing for enforcing law and order in our city- I ask you this: Would you support a poor man for killing a rich man just because he wants to survive? Just because he feels entitled to take what doesn't belong to him? Of course not..... Yet that's the dangerous logic we’ve embraced in a system so rotten that we’ve normalized breaking the law. We see disorder and impunity every day, and somehow, we convince ourselves it’s acceptable. We've lived in this brokenness for so long that wrong now feels like right. But wait until the day your neighbor discharges raw sewage into your house right into your bedroom. That’s when you’ll finally understand why I stand firm. That’s when you’ll appreciate what we are fighting for. Because by then, it will be too personal, too painful, too real. I am not that government officer who can be bought. I will not compromise my principles to protect impunity. I’d rather be hated for doing the right thing than be loved for turning a blind eye. So if standing up for order and justice makes you hate me, hate me now. But one day-mark my words-you will celebrate me. The problem with modern leadership is that many of us have actually never experienced it. I didn’t realize this until I saw the difference first-hand. Where I come from (Europe), it’s normal to hate your government, and we regularly feel pretty embarrassed by the people who run our countries. We’re so used to the state throwing obstacles our way that we forget it should actually be the other way around. Now I’m on my third year in El Salvador, and it makes perfect sense to me why the media would regularly belittle Nayib Bukele’s achievements. He makes people turn around and ask their leaders why they can’t do half of what he does with 2x, 3x, 20x the resources. El Salvador is proof that crime and regression are a deliberate choice by the state. Everything changes when your surroundings get progressively better. You subconsciously adapt your time horizon, your risk appetite, your commitment to the world before you. Public servants should serve the people, not expect to be served by the people. Those at the helm must work their very hardest, because their work defines the opportunities for everyone else. The fact that this is exceedingly rare doesn’t make it any less true; it only means that if we do find it, we should really seize it.
