10kW Load: 3-Phase vs Single-Phase For the same 10kW load, a 3-phase supply draws much less current per conductor than single-phase. At 400V 3-phase: ≈14A/phase At 230 V single-phase: ≈43.5A Lower current can mean a smaller conductor size and lower losses.

For the same 10 kW load, a three-phase supply draws far less current per conductor than single-phase, which allows smaller wires and lower losses.

The important thing for engineers to remember is that power losses go up to the SQUARE of the resistance. Doubling the cross section of the conductor decreases the losses by a factor of 4.

Power is same Current is Different more current means more heat to handle that amount of Electron wire should be Thicker

It's due to voltage level.

Lower current per conductor only helps if your panel and breaker coordination are already built for three-phase-otherwise you’re swapping one set of cost constraints for another.
