In every call from home, in every message asking, "How are you?", in every moment of looking up at the starry sky and knowing that your loved ones are gazing at it with the same hope. We remain at war today so that tomorrow we can celebrate with those we love and protect — with our families and those who are waiting for us and for a miracle. This has been an incredibly difficult few days for those of us in Peterborough and Huntingdon. In response to today’s Ministerial Statement I paid tribute to the police, first responders and train staff who responded so quickly. In particular I gave a shout out to Peterborough train driver Andrew Johnson, Aslef, the RMT and LNER colleagues who acted so quickly. They are the best of British values every day. There is much more information to come during the investigation but today I wanted to recognise the professionalism and courage of those who stepped in to respond to this terrible attack.
