NEW: Jaguar slams into the back of a school bus and gets lodged under it in Lee County, Florida, driver gets a citation. According to Lee County Schools, no students were on the bus at the time of the crash. The bus driver was sent to the hospital for dizziness. The Lee County Sheriff's Office reports there were only minor injuries. "This video is incredibly hard to watch, and I thank God no students were on the bus and no one was seriously injured," said Sheriff Carmine Marceno. "You would've thought the driver's head cut off because his car literally went under the bus," said local Dave Johns. The driver of the Jaguar was reportedly cited for "following too close."

On 22nd May 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the “redeveloped” Begumpet Railway Station in Hyderabad, Telangana. The redevelopment cost a whopping Rs 38 crore and was part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) where existing stations were given a facelift. After last night’s pre-monsoon rain in Hyderabad water was flowing through the ceilings and there was water logging everywhere. Begumpet Railway Station which was built by the Nizams in 1921 worked perfectly fine for decades. One “redevelopment” and it instantaneously transformed into a water theme park. Wah! We need your helping find her! Special Victims Detectives are asking for the community’s help identifying a female suspect who punched an eight-year-old on a bus on February 15, 2025. The suspect boarded the bus at Lake Mead Boulevard and H Street. The victim and victim’s mother boarded the bus shortly after and sat near the suspect. The suspect started using profanity toward the victim because the victim was looking at her. She then punched the eight-year-old in the face. The mother and suspect proceed to get into a physical altercation before the suspect exited the bus at Lake Mead Boulevard and Lamb. The female was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, tan boots with white fur, and large hoop earrings. What happens when an autonomous robotaxi gets into an accident? So far, nothing. Yesterday, I rode in a Zoox robotaxi and got hit by an RTC bus in front of New York New York. The Zoox was trying to turn right into New York New York on Tropicana Avenue just after crossing Las Vegas Boulevard and the bus was trying to get over to make its stop. What I saw, was the RTC bus merging into the front left of the Zoox robotaxi and then a crunching sound followed by a grinding sound. Pretty sure it was the RTC bus at fault. Impact detected. The Zoox robotaxi stayed in place while a warning popped up on the user display. Zoox support came over the in-car speaker and asked if I was okay and then eventually had me exit the vehicle at the New York New York rideshare area. Then, it just took off. The RTC bus? It also took off. The driver never got out to check to see what happened. Loaded up some passengers and went about the day. Nobody stayed around to file a police report, so I did. The Nevada State Troopers are scratching their heads at what to do here and so am I. Now I have a lot of questions that won’t get answered probably. I am okay and not injured thankfully, just shaken up a bit. As far as riding Zoox again, I feel it is safe to ride and highly recommend trying it out if you haven’t. On a side note: The Zoox took the hit pretty well and I couldn’t see damage when I checked it out. The bus had a nice scrape on its right wheel fender. I will keep you all updated on this.

Air Canada Express, operated by PAL Airlines, Bombardier DHC-8-402Q substantially damaged in a landing accident at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Air Canada spokesperson Peter Fitzpatrick says the plane experienced a “suspected landing gear issue” after arrival Saturday night and the aircraft was unable to reach the terminal and the crew and 73 passengers were off-loaded by bus. Fitzpatrick says nobody on board was injured, but a spokesperson from the Nova Scotia RCMP, who responded to the incident alongside paramedics, says minor injuries were reported.

The vehicle was carrying 117 occupants – 1 driver, 101 passengers and 15 minors – 52 passengers beyond its legal capacity. The bus, en route from Gauteng to Malawi, became immobilised a short distance from the Polokwane weigh‑bridge while being redirected to the Provincial Traffic Control Centre (PTCC). During the stop, the driver attempted to flee the scene. He was promptly intercepted, restrained and arrested by officers from the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Limpopo Traffic Officers. The bus will remain at the PTCC until the excess passengers are removed and the prescribed fine is settled. Further investigations are underway.

Sohan, a 12th-grade student, was dragged off a bus by police near Malhargarh in Madhya Pradesh without any reason, warrant or case against him, just on suspicion of drugs, though he had NONE. Russian attacks on Kharkiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia today: ▪️ In the morning, Russian drones attacked residential areas of Kharkiv. It is already known about 29 injured people, including three children. Apartments in high-rise buildings were on fire in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. Mr. Chief Minister, Look at the plight of the common pedestrian in Bengaluru. For five years, I have been demanding a skywalk connecting Banashankari Metro Station and the BMTC bus terminal. Nothing moved. A few months ago, you came, posed for photographs, and performed the groundbreaking ceremony. I thought the project would finally begin. Now I am told the skywalk has been shelved because some contractor has suggested building a flyover instead. Today, when I visited the spot, commuters showed me a video of an elderly woman who lost her life while trying to cross this road just a few weeks ago. She died on the spot. Did it make headlines? No. Did it move your government into action? No. Because pedestrians are not your priority. The Metro commuter, the BMTC passenger, the elderly citizen risking their life to cross the road - they don’t matter. Your priority is a ₹50,000-crore tunnel project for a privileged few. Why have you stopped this skywalk? If there is even an iota of humanity left in this government, restart this project immediately. Don’t wait for another innocent life to be lost.

Now I am told the skywalk has been shelved because some contractor has suggested building a flyover instead. Today, when I visited the spot, commuters showed me a video of an elderly woman who lost her life while trying to cross this road just a few weeks ago. She died on the spot. Did it make headlines? No. Did it move your government into action? No. Because pedestrians are not your priority. The Metro commuter, the BMTC passenger, the elderly citizen risking their life to cross the road - they don’t matter. Your priority is a ₹50,000-crore tunnel project for a privileged few. Why have you stopped this skywalk? If there is even an iota of humanity left in this government, restart this project immediately. Don’t wait for another innocent life to be lost.

SAVE DWARKA (DELHI) FOREST : 120-acre LAND HOME TO SEVERAL SPECIES IS ENDANGERED. NEED TO ADOPT SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT APPROACH | The DWARKA FOREST of DELHI is home to several species of both flora and fauna. Wildlife includes 65 bird species, 50 antelope (Nilgai) and many other animals flourish in the forest. This forest is close to the SAHIBI RIVER. Although it is a newly developed forest (circa 2008 onwards), it falls in the migratory route of birds visiting the Great Najafgarh Lake. The 120-acre land was acquired by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in the 1960s and then by the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) around 2008. In 2021, RLDA launched its Bijwasan Railway Redevelopment Project. During the above project, RLDA contractors instead of cutting or planting trees, buried them alive in the soil. They had no valid permission to do so until 2024. The forest department had imposed a fine of Rs 5.93 crore on RLDA for illegal felling of 990 trees in the area in 2022. Cutting trees in the city requires permission from the forest department under the Delhi Preservation of Trees Act, 1994. However, if an area is a protected forest or deemed forest, permission is also required under the Forest Conservation Act, 2023. After the fine was imposed and paid by RLDA in 2022, RLDA again started cutting trees and burying them alive. In February 2024, the National Green Tribunal found that the land on which the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is constructing the Bijwasan Rail Terminal station in Dwarka is not a protected forest or deemed forest area. The tribunal has disposed of the plea which said the terminal was being built on "Protected" forest land. This allowed the project to proceed. The tribunal also observed that the Forest Conservation Act, 2023, which was recently amended, no longer covers deemed forests.
