TROPICAL UPDATE: Northeasterly shear (white wind streams) and dry air have made development slow for Tropical Depression #2. You can see how it's not verticially aligned, with the circulation at 20,000 ft displayed south of the surface circulation. With that said, it's trying to become better organized with persistent storms flaring up on the southern side. If trends continue, we could see #Bertha by later today.

Around 1 billion polymer notes of each denomination will be issued to test their durability, security features and performance under Indian conditions. The trial does not mean paper currency is being replaced, and existing ₹10 and ₹20 notes will continue to remain in circulation.
