Another intriguing DL for MSU: NIU transfer Raishein Thomas (No. 25 in the clips below). Was listed at 6-4, 262 for the Huskies, but is now up to 290. Added mass allows him to hold up better inside and in those odd fronts. Back-to-back plays here from him. 1) Good job setting the edge on first-and-10 to set up a second-and-8. Then 2) follows it up with an effective stab that almost collapses the backside of the pocket right into Shapen’s lap. State did a nice job of adding several quality bodies to its DL from the transfer portal.

Notes on today's #Bengals practice, the most competitive and game-like conditions we've seen so far. - Great back-and-forth with big plays from both sides. Logged six drives for ones-vs-ones and two touchdowns. Burrow connects with Andrei Iosivas and Tee Higgins for scores. - The Higgins TD was a classic back-shoulder high-point in the corner against DJ Ivey. Unguardable stuff. Great read, veteran play. 📽️⬇️ DJ Ivey was thrust in with the first team with Dax Hill scaled back today. He showed well, including a great PBU on a deep ball left one-on-one with Tee Higgins. -Bengals DL continues to make Burrow and company uncomfortable. Not as rough as yesterday, but those guys are just a load right now. -Two days in a row now with a splash play by Colbie Young. Confidence is growing in the rookie. -Dohnte Meyers shows up every day. -Deep cut: A few particularly nice reps in 1-on-1 work for UDFA Corey Robinson II. -Burrow off a bit today. Missed on a couple deep balls and got sniped by Cook for the INT. -A number of Reds in attendance, including Sal Stewart, who was in his Ja'Marr Chase jersey and exchanged his jersey with Chase after they all chatted for a while. -More plays and analysis coming on The Athletic blog and Growler recap show.

Official Statement about the "ENDED" GAME 8 of the $10,000 Ascendance Series tonight. We're looking into the issue that occurred. We understand this effected all 3 players on Team Orchid. - Hambino🏳️‍⚧️ - RamBeau - sirsay And potentially griefed their win in this DAY 1 of the series. The team's winnings which could've been $750 if they won the game, were brought down to $300 as they placed 3rd in the event following another 2 matches. We understand that the game trigged an 'ended match by admin' screen, making it seem as if the game was ended by one of our admins, which is 100% wasn't. We know that for certain. Ivan nor MrFoxy who were the only two admins in the series ended the match. It was not done on accident or on purpose. We will look into this issue with the correct people and make another statement as soon as we get word on the issue. For the time being, we offer to reimburse the roster an additional $200 to round up the prize winnings to $500, as we understand they could have easily won Match 8, and it's not a small amount of money they missed out on.
