People often ask what inspired me to build my collection of Victoria Crosses and George Crosses. The answer is simple, it is the stories of bravery and heroism they represent. Do try and visit the #LordAshcroftGallery at IWM London before it closes. Imperial War Museums #VEDay #LestWeForget

Respect to Lord Ashcroft who has accumulated 245 Victoria Crosses and 46 George Crosses, The Commonwealth's highest decorations for valour. The market value of one is between £250,000 - £300,000. Generously, he put them on loan to the Imperial War Museum Imperial War Museums where they resided for public view from 12 Nov 2010 to 30th Sept 2025. He even donated £5 million to the exhibition. They are now on public display at the National Army Museum National Army Museum in Chelsea. Here he introduces Norman Jackson VC, who he believes is the bravest single act of gallantry in being awarded the Victoria Cross. An engine was set on fire by a night fighter in April 1944. He climbed out of the aircraft with a fire extinguisher and an axe. This is his remarkable story.

What made Victoria Cross recommendation in #WW2? As George Semple explained when discussing Burma VC recipient, Parkash Singh, responses on the ground were often key. Witnesses, a sense that an act may merit the medal, and the collection of accounts all lay the foundations.

Helmet camera footage captures the chaos of a 2010 firefight in Afghanistan, where U.S. troops came under heavy enemy fire. During the exchange, a rocket-propelled grenade streaked past one of the soldiers, missing him by only a few meters before continuing beyond his position. The clip is a reminder of how quickly combat can shift in a matter of seconds

I go to churches that are closing in the Benelux and save what I can. Chasubles, copes, procession crosses, banners, baldachins, altar bells, missals, cruets, crosses… things that would otherwise disappear… or be sold in thrift shops… 2 years ago I filmed part of what we rescued It got over 20K views on TikTok These aren’t just old objects They’re pieces of a living tradition If more of us did the same, a lot more would survive Start saving culture, no one else will

Fans were upset this afternoon when the #Marlies scored a goal after #Rocket Jacob Fowler lost his helmet. As per the AHL rule book, I feel that the right call was made by the official: "When a goalkeeper has lost his helmet and/or face mask and his team has control of the puck, play shall be stopped immediately to allow the goalkeeper the opportunity to regain his helmet and/or face mask. When the opposing team has control of the puck, play shall only be stopped if there is no immediate and impending scoring opportunity" #GoRocket #AHL #Hockey #GoHabsGo Rick Stephens / Rocket Sports

THE MOST RELIABLE $BTC BOTTOM SIGNAL JUST FIRED. AGAIN. When the % of supply in profit crosses the % of supply in loss, half the network is underwater. Every prior cross marked the cycle bottom zone: 2015, 2019, 2020, 2022. And now in 2026. We're closing in on the Bitcoin bottom. Usually it takes another 1-3 months after the cross before the final low prints.
