this is so gorgeous!!! also i'm really impressed w ur patience i usually give up/dont fix vsiual problems but watching u persist was rly inspiring. is it easy to stay focused throughout this? do u tell urself things to help urself keep going when u get frustrated? what drives u?

Oh my, thanks for the kind words!! In this canvas, as you can see, I’ve drawn so many poses. It’s a concept for the other characters! (I'm planning to draw Qiflings all in one file, lmaoo) As for my process, before I draw, I write down the story I want to tell through the art (for Coco, I wanted her sleeping in a chamomile field, thinking about how far she's come as a witch). Instead of spending too much time with trial and error drawing poses on the canvas without a plan, I’d rather figure out the story first in my notes. As for staying focused. I don’t actually think I’m that focused, ksksksksksk. I just kind of "lock in" every time I draw because I love it so much. This piece took about 9 hours a day over 3 days! 🥀 And yes! I keep telling myself to pull it together during every step of the art process! For instance, I don’t usually enjoy doing line art, but I adore Kamome’s art style, so I wanted to give it a try. It was really fun! I did get frustrated because there were areas outside my skill set, but it turned out to be super exciting to explore. I kept convincing myself that if this worked out, I’d be able to draw even more fun things in the future. What drives me? I have a goal, I want to be an artist who can tell a story through my art! I kinda love to explore and stepping outside my drawing comfort zone. I always remind myself that I should be the first person to enjoy my work, so at the very least, I want the final result to satisfy me😂

o this makes sense! just saw the agott which was ALSO stunning! i love hearing abt story, that makes sense to me—i bet if i try story, i'll have a better gauge for satisfaction abt my lines and overall work! it's so lovely to hear that love and interest fuels you!! thank u for +

spending the time on this piece and sharing it! & big thanks for sharing ur process w me! i backed off hard from perfectionism into whateverism, but i like your way: "this struggle is helping me do more! this will help me satisfy my dreams!" thank u again for the art and words!

This reminds me of the covers for the deluxe edition of The Girl from the Other Side
