153 countries, including Australia, have already called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. Now many of Israel’s friends are expressing deep concerns about reports of an Israeli military operation in Rafah. This would have devastating consequences for civilians.

Maybe send ambassador home, join ICJ proceedings, cancel weapons sales, exit Houthi attack force

Why is Israel regarded as a “friend” by Australia? If a real friend you, Senator Wong, should have backed South Africa, told that other “friend”, the US, that slaughtering terrified civilians is not “self-defence”, then worked with the UN to install peacekeeping forces and to restore the land taken by settlers. Hamas also unforgivably betrays the Palestinian people. This is a struggle of tyrants for power…and children pay the ultimate price. #Rafah

Too late for plausible deniability now genocide enabler. This is exactly what we warned would happen when you excused Israel’s war crimes again & again & again. You defamed us by calling us anti Semitic for calling for a ceasefire & and end to the slaughter which you defended

Israel is obviously your bestie , but don’t you dare speak for the rest of us. I stand with my Palestinian brothers and sisters . #FreePalestine 🇵🇸🕊️

You knew this was coming and you did nothing … your faux concern is just insulting at this point … life long Socialist …but I will never vote for you genocide enablers again.

There should be consequences for Israel now @SenatorWong not when it has killed, starved or expelled the rest.

When are you going to call for the release of the hostages ?

Your comments @SenatorWong do not even mention Hamas! Are you oblivious to their role? Perhaps you might also note that just today, Israel rescued 2 hostages, who were being held captive in Rafah, only underscoring need for military operation. @dfat @AusAmbIsrael

What harm? What special care? Your words are meaningless. Have you summoned the ambassador? #GenocideGaza

You’re 75 years too late.
