16 years ago today, LOST ended.

I know the island mythology was muddied, but LOST stuck the landing on every single character’s emotional arc. Incredible ending.

I liked the finale at the time, and I love it on repeat watches. It is a beautiful ending.

The most beautiful ending. It ended in reverse of how it started, with Jack that is. Vincent came to him instead of running away like he did in the beginning so Jack wouldn’t be alone. For those of you that thought the finale was trash, please give the whole season another watch

Lost is the only drama series that I have watched from start to finish three times. I still cannot accept what happened in the temple that day.. with avatar Locke, Linus, and Jacob.

Fun fact. After me and my gf broke up, I ran into her ex and we started talking about LOST somehow and I invited over for a viewing party. We got along so well I was later a groomsmen at his wedding. It all started with this finale. Been friends for 16 years now.

Never ever forget it simulcast around the world live at the same time. I remember asking the boss if i could get off nightshift early to get home in time for it airing. Never has there been a show like it. Thank you.

I paused the finale (DVR´rd it) like 4 times cause I didnt want it to end. THE BEST show ever, with a perfect finale. 16years....unreal.

I think the anticipation of the finale, at the time, had so much build up that almost anything would have been a let down. But you’re right that upon rewatching it hits so hard. The emotional connection we make with the characters is so important. It often gets overlooked.

And completely destroyed the show. Horrific ending

Last night I thought I should watch the pilot, 6 episodes later it was 3am and I had to force myself to stop and go to bed. I think this will be the 7th time.

I would give so much to have a show of this class be made these days but I don’t think that’s possible anymore…

i don't get why it's so hard to understand (for a lot of people) this ending, it's just there, every explanation is given by that speech made by Jack's dad, anyway, it's moving, it's hopeful and it make sense.

Still remains my favorite ending to a television show ever. 🥹❤️🫶

@JonKingBadaBing It didn't end it crashed into the depths of hell where the last season belonged! Total crap final season, Lindelof and Cuse will burn in hell for screwing up one of the greatest shows.

As a filmmaker for over 20 years I can say it's an achievement to represent spirituality with images and sound. LOST did what no other show could do and for that it is a master piece.

Beautiful and absolutely unforgettable series and ending. And that music! Just stunning. I will always go back to the Island. 🥹💜
