Until the community is fed up, nothing will change, the community sets the standard, until every day people call it out, get involved, point, scream, grab the items, it won't change quick enough. Stealing is an insidious crime because it's not treated severely.

Seems every time I go to a safeway I see a shoplifter. Grocery Outlet on Van Ness only did one time years ago, and half the staff went after him.

Frequent trouble at that Safeway! Some very unsavory people hang around outside by the doors, either lying on the ground or begging for money. Also they seem to have ‘security people’ in plain clothes now with no company markers identifying them. Shoplifting is frequent too!

I HATE grocery shopping in SF. I feel so bad for Safeway. Why do these stores have to defend themselves? Where are the cops and jails for these scumbags?

This place is running a bit hot these days. Are they being pushed out of Mission/TL to here?

Democrats won’t stop crime because that would be unfair to their most loyal voters.

Vigilantism comes from chaos, followed by knives and guns.
