Just six months ago, there was a big enough difference between open and closed weight models that we considered having two separate evaluations. Open weights have come a long way. Submitted from NE Minneapolis: 8 Somali Teens Joyride in Stolen U-Haul Through NE Minneapolis – Police Hands Tied by Policy In a disturbing scene straight out of the ongoing chaos in Minneapolis, eight Somali teenagers took a stolen U-Haul truck with Arizona plates on a reckless spin through NE Minneapolis neighborhoods this evening. The truck was first spotted in the parking lot of A Chance to Grow school at 1800 2nd Street NE. Six of the teens climbed into the back cargo area while two took the driver and passenger seats. They pulled out and made a quick stop at the Hook & Ladder Apartments, then continued their erratic drive—swerving wildly across the road—to Edison High School. There, all eight exited the vehicle. One teen was seen vomiting on the boulevard, likely suffering from a concussion or severe motion sickness caused by the dangerous, out-of-control driving. Six of the juveniles then walked off toward the Central Ave Lofts at 920 24th Avenue NE, while the other two jumped back into the stolen U-Haul and drove away.

Filmed three week ago at Oregon State Penitentiary. The man is James Baxter. Serving the last eight months of a six-year sentence. The dog is Rocky, an eight-year-old German Shepherd. James got Rocky as a puppy. Had him for nine months before his incarceration. James's mother took Rocky. Promised to care for him until James got out. But she passed away suddenly two years ago. Health emergency. Rocky went to James's brother. Brother kept him for six months. Then brother lost his job. Couldn't afford to keep Rocky. Surrendered him to a shelter. James found out three months ago. Devastated. Thought Rocky had been adopted years ago. Prison chaplain Father Michael discovered Rocky was still at a local shelter. No one had adopted him. Father Michael arranged this reunion through a special visitation program. This was the visit. Security footage shows James sitting at the metal table. Hands clasped. Shaking. Visitation door opens. Volunteer Sarah enters with Rocky on leash. Rocky sees James. Freezes. Just stares. Six years. James drops to his knees on the floor. Says one word: "Rocky." Rocky yanks the leash from Sarah's hand. Runs. Crashes into James. Both go down on the floor. James is sobbing. Deep, body-shaking sobs. Wraps his arms around Rocky. Buries his face in Rocky's fur. Can't breathe. James said: "Rocky waited six years in the shelter system. Now he just has to wait eight more months. Then we're never separating again." Father Michael told us: "James has been a model inmate for six years. Never caused problems. When I found out his dog was still waiting, I had to make this happen. Redemption isn't just about paying your debt. It's about coming home to what you love." Sometimes forgiveness has four legs and waits six years.

Crime Watch received multiple reports from fairgoers Monday evening of "mobs" of Somalis trying to jump fences or rush the gates. The State Fair dispatches even warned responders of "mobs" approaching the gates. Submitted video: "Usual suspects trying to find an opening in the fence after the fair closed. Literally mobs of them right around 6 and near the bus parking lot entrance. This was just one small glimpse btw, I wasn’t quick enough for the first set of groups." Submitted 2: Minnesota State fair - grandstand show was at 3 PM today. A lot of places are stopping serving at 8 PM including Sweet Martha’s cookies. There’s a huge influx of Somalians. Entering the fair right now. Curious if this has been going on every single night or if this is specific to this evening. Why are so many entering right now with only a few hours left?" Submitted 3: "No idea why, but a huge influx of Somalis the last half hour. Especially boys."
