Alhamdulillah, I witnesses something truly amazing today, the annual Kiswah ceremony in Makkah. This centuries old tradition honors the sacred Kaaba, and witnessing it in person was a special experience. The Kiswah is handcrafted from fine black silk and beautifully embroidered with Qur’anic calligraphy using gold-plated and silver-coated threads. Since 1927, when King Abdulaziz established the first dedicated Kiswah factory in Makkah, this craftsmanship has continued to be preserved and passed down.
