In a hearing about ending sanctuary cities that have resulted in the murder of Americans, Sen. Durbin decides to attack me for not supporting the failed Gang of Eight immigration bill 13 years ago. I’m proud that I didn’t support it. It was bad policy that would’ve made our broken immigration system worse. But what an insult for him to do that in front of his constituent, an Illinois father whose daughter was killed in a hit-and-run by a drunk illegal alien – all while he refuses to fund ICE & supported the very open-border policies that resulted in this tragedy.
