I think I see better now what you mean by helping us better understand our past. (Except the software side, which I have not read about.)

I have a dress made from one of these patterns, by my mother, when I was 15. I loved that dress and wore it for 10 years. Kept it as a memory anchor, because I met my husband while wearing it 😊
