1960s anime girls follow a completely different evolutionary path. The mannequin Demon from Akuma Kun is a great example of that. It was a reflection of the time, while also being super spooky. Shame she got thrown into a Wind Turbine. I really love this design.

The idea that "Anyone could be a mannequin" is also really cool. Adds a very "John Carpenter's: The Thing" aspect to the episode. Being transformed into a doll is terrifying.

Those laserdiscs have a really cool serial killer vibe to them, layering a bunch of Mizuki's art and random screenshots. I could see this being wrapped in a Sealing Tag to keep a Youkai imprisoned inside.

ZLH🚀: yes, this is the motor of the wind turbine, located at the highest point of the turbine shaft. these are the blades. they look small now, but in reality, when I went to the wind turbine manufacturing plant, it was about 80 meters long. really huge. and the proportions might not be accurate. when we stood below it, it was incredibly impressive. it works like this: the wind comes from this direction and drives the blades to rotate. then the motor converts that kinetic energy into electrical energy. there are cables below that can directly transmit the electricity to a substation, where it's stepped up or down in voltage, and then sent to places on land where the electricity is used. that's how a wind turbine works. 👤: it's a very meaningful souvenir. ZLH🚀: yes. 👤: where are you planning to put it? ZLH🚀: before I brought this with me, I usually keep it next to my computer.

I really love this scene of Sunset meeting Starlight for the first time in “Mirror Magic” and their dynamic is easily the main highlight of the episode but I also love how funny that Sunset is so used to being human that she forgets how to be a pony lol!

One of my favorite parts about Mega Man X is also one I've seen people complain about, and I get it. The boss weaknesses more than trivialize the fights. It also turns some of them into rhythm-based mini-games. It becomes almost skill-based in the other direction. How efficient can you be? It's kind of a shame that the weapons completely drain the challenge. These are some of the most fun bosses in the series to do Buster only. Still, it's great that the option is there, and I like how they seemed to design it to be fun in a different way. It also makes the infamous Boss Rush a non-issue. #RetroGaming

Monica Barbaro has really impressed me over the last five years. I’ve honestly never seen a performance from Barbaro that I didn’t think was good. For example - she is quietly one of the best parts of the new heist thriller Crime 101. She was also amazing in A Complete Unknown.

Sketch pad time! I wanted to do this for a while but FINALLY found a pencil while unpacking the last of the boxes! Except it didn't have an eraser 😭 But I digress! I haven't sketched in a long time in traditional but this was a super fun change of pace. I only had a little bit of difficulty trying to not look at my phone the entire time as it was quite in the way of my point of view of the paper. This was fun! Def a change of pace from digital!
